A very unusual part of Valley View
In the summer of 2012, three months after the Parade of Giants, Julien Reverchon was moved to Valley View Center in North Dallas.
He was joined by two other Giants: Hattie Rankin and Rhoda Dragoo.
Julien became especially well known at Valley View, where he was displayed in the Gallery at Midtown and became a popular photo opportunity during the mall's art walks.
Julien Reverchon
Julien Reverchon was a giant sculpture depicting the Dallas botanist Julien Reverchon.
During his time at Valley View, Julien was associated with Kevin Obregón's StudiObregón and the Gallery at Midtown.
He was frequently brought out during art walks and other busy events, becoming one of the most recognizable sights in the later years of Valley View.
Hattie Rankin
Hattie Rankin was one of the Giants that accompanied Julien to Valley View in 2012.
She was displayed near the Gallery at Midtown alongside the other sculptures.
Rhoda Dragoo
Rhoda Dragoo was another of the Giants brought to Valley View with Julien and Hattie in 2012.
Unlike Julien, Hattie and Rhoda eventually left Valley View, while Julien remained associated with the mall for years.
The Parade of Giants takes place in Dallas. Julien Reverchon participates as one of the large rolling Giants.
Julien is moved to Valley View Center, accompanied by Hattie Rankin and Rhoda Dragoo.
Julien becomes part of Valley View's Gallery at Midtown and art-walk events.
Julien remains at Valley View while the surrounding mall continues to decline.
Julien is photographed during the final stages of the former mall's demolition.
